Labels That Sell — Choosing Labels for Food & Cosmetic Products
Your label is the first thing a customer's eye touches on the shelf. Three rules make the difference:
1. Match the material to the conditions
- Chilled food & drinks: vinyl that resists moisture and condensation — all of ours does.
- Cosmetics: must survive oils and creams — pick the gloss laminate.
- Clear containers: try clear labels so the design looks printed on the packaging itself.
2. Size before design
Measure the flat area of the container and subtract 3mm on every side. On cylinders, never exceed two-thirds of the circumference.
3. Roll or singles?
For slow hand-application, kiss-cut singles are fine. For a fast production line, order roll labels — cheaper and faster.
