Die Cut or Kiss Cut? The Complete Guide
The question we get most: what's the difference between die cut and kiss cut?
Die cut
Cuts through the sticker and the backing paper along your design's outline, so it arrives in its final shape. Perfect when you:
- Hand stickers out as gifts or marketing material
- Want a professional look in hand before it's applied
- Print large logos
Kiss cut
Cuts only the vinyl layer, leaving the backing intact — protecting edges and making peeling easy. Best when:
- Your design is small or highly detailed
- You'll apply them to your own products (packaging labels)
- You need fast peeling at volume
Bottom line
Choose die cut for giveaways, kiss cut for labeling your products. Either way we print on premium vinyl that shrugs off water and sun.
